MIDDLE SMITHFIELD TWP., Pa. -

A woman found in a burning car early Saturday has been identified.

Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen conducted an autopsy on the body Monday, but didn't release her name until Tuesday.

Allen identified the body as that of 62-year-old Leslie Ferrari.

Firefighters discovered the body when they responded to a vehicle fire in Marshalls Creek, Middle Smithfield Twp.,  around 2:45 a.m. Saturday on Route 209 near Keystone Road.

After a review of the preliminary autopsy results, and the findings of the forensic dentist, also known as a forensic odontologist, Allen confirmed the woman's identity.

Ferrari was from Marshalls Creek.
