Pohatcong bank robbery

Police in Warren County, N.J. are on the hunt for a female who robbed a bank in Pohatcong Township, officials said.

Police say a woman walked into the Bank of America on New Brunswick Avenue Saturday and handed a note to a teller demanding cash and stating she had a gun.

At no time was a weapon seen, according to police.

The woman was last seen walking away from the bank. A witness saw a black pickup truck with an aluminum toolbox in the bed of the vehicle and loud exhaust. Police say it is possible the truck may be connected to the crime.

Police described the woman as 5'5" to 5'8 in height, 200-225 pounds, freckles under both eyes, dark green hooded sweatshirt, green short brimmed wool hat, dark blue jeans, tan and black Burberry scarf and tan shoes.

Police say the man driving the pickup truck was wearing a hunting hat and drinking coffee.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pohatcong police at 908-454-9836.
