A suspect has been identified in Friday's theft of a tip jar from Francesco's Italian Restaurant on South Main Street in Pohatcong Township.
Through Facebook, police were able to identify the man as 27-year-old Anthony Juliano of the 400 block of New Brunsick Avenue in Pohatcong Township.
Police have issued a warrant for Juliano's arrest, charging him with theft of moveable property.
Surveillance video in the restaurant shows the suspect grabbing the jar and walking into a restroom, where he took the money and trashed the jar. It contained about $200.
Anyone with information on Juliano's whereabouts is asked to contact Pohatcong Township Police: 908-454-6427.
Restaurant owner Francesco Sorgiovanni said it was the first time anyone stole the tip jar in his five years in business.
"It was not my tip jar," said Sorgiovanni. "It was my employees'."
The owner also said: "If he would have asked for a free slice, I would have given it to him. He didn't have to steal the tip jar."
