FLEMINGTON, N.J. -

A woman and her two children have managed to escape a burning home in Hunterdon Co., N.J., without serious injury, officials said.

Firefighters responded Tuesday afternoon to the reported fire at 19 Church St. in Flemington.

The woman and two children who were inside the home when the fire started were taken to the Hunterdon Medical Center for evaluation.

"At this time, the fire does not appear suspicious, but the investigation is ongoing," said Chief George Becker, Flemington Police Dept., adding that the county's arson task force and the prosecutor's office's arson investigation unit are helping to search for the cause.
