A 44-year-old Flemington man who authorities say has a violent history is behind bars after police arrested him for failing to register as a sex offender.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III and Flemington Borough Police Chief George Becker on Monday announced the arrest of Frankie Massenberg.
Kearns, said Massenberg was charged with failing to register as a sex offender (3rd degree) and had an outstanding $1,000 warrant issued by the East Orange Police Department.
Investigation found that Massenberg failed to register after moving to Flemington in August, according to Kearns. Massenberg has multiple convictions for crimes of violence, Kearns said.
Bail was set at $20,000, in full. He was lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail.
