ROBESON TWP., Pa. -

An orchard in Robeson Township is helping victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Weaver's Orchard donated five percent of its retail sales from Dec. 16 through Dec. 31 to relief efforts. Customers also made donations.

The effort brought in more than $3,700.

Customers are invited to help Weaver's meet its $5,000 goal by contributing through the Weaver’s Orchard/Samaritan’s Purse fundraising page on Weaver’s website.

Officials said they wanted to help because an employee in Weaver's bakery, Naneth A. Castner, is from the Philippines and still has family and friends there.

The typhoon did major destruction when it hit the Philippines in November.
