sleet

Sleet is formed when rain drops fall through a layer of air that is colder than 32°F and freeze into ice pellets before reaching the ground.

When sleet hits the ground it usually bounces and does not stick to objects.

However, sleet can accumulate of surfaces similar to snow and can cause slippery conditions.
