    SNOW TAPERING OFF FROM NORTH TO SOUTH THROUGH EARLY EVENING; RECORD SMASHING LOW TEMPERATURES EXPECTED OVERNIGHT (ICY CONDITIONS)

    Tonight: Any lingering snow tapering off and moving away from north to south through the evening hours. Little additional accumulation. Turning bitterly cold and clear.  Current record low temperature is 7 ABE 1960 and 5 RDG 1978) Low: -2

    Friday: Quite cold with plenty of sunshine. High: 25 Low: 6

    Snow arrived and provided a fresh coat of 3-6" of snow (locally heavier amounts up to 7 and 10"). The northern Philadelphia suburbs and parts of Berks county saw some of the highest totals. Northern Poconos ended up with significantly less snow. 

    Bitterly cold (record shattering) air moves in Thursday night and Friday. Through the weekend, partly to mostly sunny skies will dominate with temperatures much closer to normal, the mid 40s!
