TOWAMENCIN TWP., Pa. -

A few vandals have spoiled plans for some Montgomery County swimmers.

Townamencin Township police are investigating a case of vandalism at the township pool at 855 Weikel Road.

Police said sometime between 8 p.m. Saturday and 12:10 p.m. Sunday, vandals broke bottles over the edge of the pool, and pieces of glass were found inside and outside the pool.

The vandals also threw broken glass into both pools, along with a traffic cone and reflector, police said.

Because of the damage, the pool was closed and won't reopen until at least Tuesday.

The total cost of the damage hasn't been determined.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Towamencin Township police at 215-368-7606.
