READING, Pa. -

A man described by federal authorities as a "violent fugitive" is now off the streets.

The U.S. Marshals Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force apprehended Alexis Giovanni Grajales-Pagan after he left a home in the 300 block of Moss Street in Reading late Monday morning.

Grajales-Pagan, 19, was wanted by police in Worcester, Mass., on charges of attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, firearms and related offenses.

Grajales-Pagan was free on bail for an October 2012 stabbing when he opened fire with a .45 caliber handgun into a crowd of people in Worcester on July 5, 2013, wounding one person, officials said.

Information developed during the subsequent investigation led authorities to track Grajales-Pagan down in Reading, officials said.
