READING, Pa. -

A series of undercover drug buys has led to the arrest of a man who lives near an elementary school in Reading.

The investigation began in October in the 1500 block of Haak Street, near the 16th and Haak Elementary School, said detectives with the Berks County district attorney's office.

During the investigation, undercover detectives went to the home on multiple occasions and bought cocaine from the man who lives there, Daniel Robert Brooks, officials said.

Those purchases led a judge to issue a warrant for authorities to search the home, which they did early Friday morning.

As a result of their search, officials said they seized 25 grams of cocaine, with a street value of $2,500; 50 grams of marijuana, with a street value of $500; a digital scale; a cell phone and $477 in cash.

Brooks was subsequently arrested on charges of possession, possession with the intent to deliver marijuana and cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
