Two killed in off-road vehicle crash in Packer Township, Carbon County

Two people are dead and another two injured, one seriously, in an off-road accident early Sunday morning in Carbon County, according to crews at the scene.
The incident was reported around 4 a.m. Sunday in a remote area north of Route 54 on the Broad Mountain in Packer Township.
Officials say a female involved in the wreck used her cell phone to contact emergency personnel.
Crews at the scene say four people were riding in an off-road vehicle that rolled over.
Emergency crews used four-wheel drives to access the mountainous terrain.
One victim was flown to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center, while another was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
The rescue operation lasted about two hour.
Carbon county deputy coroners were dispatched to the scene.
State Police are investigating the incident.
