The Raiders edged the Bears, 2-1, on Tuesday afternoon at Bear Stadium in the Region 2 Legion playoffs.

BOYERTOWN, Pa. -

Twin Valley defeated Boyertown, 2-1, on Tuesday afternoon at Bear Stadium in the Region 2 winner's bracket final of the Legion playoffs.

Boyertown would bounce back to beat North Parkland 8-0 later in the day.

Pottstown, which beat Oley/Topton 3-0 to start the day, beat Twin Valley 3-1 Tuesday night.

Pottstown will face Boyertown at 12:30pm on Wednesday, with the winner to play Twin Valley immediately afterward for the championship.

The Bears struck in the second inning of their game against Twin Valley. Dalton Hughes singled to left, scoring Austin Madeja, giving Boyertown an early 1-0 lead.

But in the fifth, the Raiders answered. Izzack Albright drove in a run with a single up the middle. Matt McInaw followed that up with an RBI-single of his own to put the Raiders on top by one.

That would prove to be enough for Twin Valley, who held on to the victory thanks to a strong outing from Eric Ryan on the mound and some sensational defense, especially from Jon Abbadusky in center.
