Twin Valley softball rolls into state quarterfinals

The Raiders broke out late in a 6-1 victory over Prendergast-Bonner. Twin Valley advances to face Valley View in the quarterfinals.

AMBLER, Pa. -

The Raiders used a late surge to down Prendergast-Bonner, 6-1, on Tuesday to earn a berth in the PIAA quarterfinals.

Leading 2-0 heading into the sixth inning, the Raiders erupted for four runs to put the game on ice.

Brooke Warren paced Twin Valley's offense with 3 RBI's. Lisa Lawson added another with a double off the right field wall.

Sam Lichtner pitched a gem for the Raiders. She went all seven innings, allowing just one run.

Twin Valley will face defending 3A state champion Valley View on Thursday night at 5:00 at Allentown's Patriots Park.
