BELVIDERE, NJ -

The Warren County Prosecutor's Office says three arrests have been made as part of a six-week investigation into illegal drug trafficking.

Christina Batista, 29, of the Bronx, NY and Melvin Tunstall Jr., 40, of Hackettstown, have been charged with possession with intent to distribute. James Childs, 49, of Belvidere, has been charged with possession and distribution of heroin.

Police executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Market Street in Belvidere on June 12th.

Inside, police say they recovered about 100 bags of heroin with a street value of $1,000, a small amount of crack-cocaine, miscellaneous prescription pills and $200.

Officials say there was a child in the home at the time of the search. The child is now in the custody of the Department of Child Protection and Permanency.

All three suspects are being held in the Warren County Correctional Facility on $75,000 bail.
