PALMER TOWNSHIP, Pa -

A woman with two previous shoplifting convictions is facing a felony charge because she was caught stealing from a store again.

Rachel M. Brinker walked out of the Giant food store at 801 South 25th St., Palmer Township, Northampton County, around 7:20 p.m. Saturday without paying for a $42. 39 flat iron hair straightener, officials said.

Brinker, who is on probation from Warren County, N.J., tried to hide the flat iron at the bottom of a red reusable bag.

She was convicted of shoplifting on March 10, 2012, and April 1, 2013, both times in Pohatcong Township, Warren County,  court papers show.

Brinker was arraigned on a felony retail theft charge and released on $2,500 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 16.
