Sweet treats help Easton woman lose weight

Becky Riddle's freezer is packed full of ice cream.
"Cookie dough, and cookies and cream," she listed. "I mean I have probably tried every flavor that they have because they're all so good."
The Easton woman lets herself have one cup of ice cream each and every night.
"My favorite part of the day is my ice cream," she smiled. "That really has kept me motivated beyond anything else."
In-fact, these sweet treats are exactly what helped Becky lose 130 pounds. In January of 2011, the 28-year-old weighed nearly 300 pounds.
"When I look back, I can see that I was actually addicted to food," Becky explained. "I just remember my mind-set, I was constantly thinking about it, thinking about what the next unhealthy food was that I could eat."
Becky says her weight loss method is so simple, anyone can do it.
First she replaced the cookies and pasta in her cabinets with more healthy options, like lean meats, fruits and vegetables.
Then she turned to technology. To stay on track, Becky downloaded a calorie counting application.
"The first thing when I get up in the morning I plan my entire day," Becky shared. "Like every snack, my breakfast, everything I'm going to put in my mouth."
The pounds started melting off. About a year into changing her diet, Becky added exercise to the mix. She's down to 170 pounds. Just 21 pound away from her goal weight of 149.
"I feel great, like I feel so much more confident than I had ever been in my life," described Becky. "I carry myself differently and I'm in the best shape that I've ever been in."
She recently shared her success story on ABC's "The View." This wasn't the first time Becky had attempted to shed some pounds, it just happened to be the time she stuck with it. She writes about her weight loss journey on her blog.
"I just hope that reading my words and my journey can inspire someone to know that they can do it," said Becky. "You can change your life at any point, you just have to change your mind set."
And she still lets herself have that ice cream at the end of the day.
"You can eat things that you love, you just make healthy decisions."
