Several area players were selected in the Major League Baseball draft on Saturday..
Andy Ravel, a senior pitcher from Wilson West Lawn, was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 21st round of the Major League Baseball draft on Saturday.
Ravel has already committed to play Division One baseball at Kent State next year.
A.J. Bogucki, a senior pitcher from Boyertown, was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 31st round.
Bogucki has already committed to play Division One baseball at North Carolina next year.
Both Ravel and Bogucki will now have to decide which path to take.
East Stroudsburg University and Stroudsburg High School grad Joe Bennie was also drafted on Saturday.
Bennie, a shortstop, was taken by the Oakland Athletics in the 28th round.
Joe Gunkel, a pitcher out of West Chester University, was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 18th round.
