Royals ready for Kelly Cup Finals opener
The Reading Royals are gearing up for Game 1 of their first Kelly Cup Finals appearance in franchise history.
The Royals will open its first ever Kelly Cup Finals against the Stockton Thunder on Saturday at 7:05pm at the Sovereign Center.
Home-ice advantage has been something that this team has strived for all season.
It has paid dividends. Reading has been able to open every playoff series at the Sovereign Center. They even hosted a do-or-die Game 7 with Florida in the conference semifinals.
Now that the Kelly Cup Finals are here, the Royals have realized just how important home ice has been in their record-breaking season.
The Royals have also excelled in the clutch this postseason. They've earned come-from-behind wins, and won several games in overtime in these ECHL playoffs so far.
