Reading's newest professional indoor football franchise, the Pennsylvania Steam, was introduced on Monday afternoon at the Sovereign Center. The team is owned and operated by the same group that will run the Pennsylvania Roar, Missouri Sports Holdings.
The Steam will play in the X-League, a league that has a very interesting approach to indoor football. However, it's an approach that is expected to be aggressive and high-scoring.
This is the second announcement about a new franchise within a matter of months for Reading. Missouri Sports Holdings has revealed that the Roar, an indoor soccer franchise, will be coming to Reading as well.
There is no specific date set for when the Steam will begin their season.
