Governor Mifflin defeated Wilson in a District III-AAAA baseball opener on Monday to set up a date with Hempfield, who knocked off top-seeded Reading.

The (8) Governor Mifflin baseball team defeated rival (9) Wilson WL on Monday, 5-2, in a District III-AAAA first round game on Monday. At George Field, top-seeded Reading fell to (16) Hempfield, 7-3, ending their playoff run sooner than expected.

The Red Knights recorded just 3 hits in the setback.
