Franco's bombs lead Fightin Phils past New Britain

Maikel Franco keeps showing why he is the Phillies top position player prospect.

Franco went 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs Friday night, lifting the Fightin Phils to a 7-2 win over New Britain at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Franco is now hitting .370 since being called up to Reading last month.

Kelly Dugan had two hits including a two-run homer for the Fightin Phils.

Mario Hollands (1-1, 5.32) picked up the win on the mound for Reading.

The Fightin Phils (45-59) have now won seven of their last 11 games.

Reading will resume its series with the Rock Cats Saturday at 6:35pm in Baseballtown.
