Philadelphia Flyers goalie Steve Mason will not be able to participate in any on-ice training for two weeks because of a broken finger, the team announced Thursday.

"Steve Mason broke his right pinky finger playing hockey in Oakville, Ontario on Sunday, July 27," general manager Ron Hextall said in a statement. "Mason will miss approximately two weeks of on-ice training but will continue with his off-ice training."

Mason went 33-18-7 with a 2.50 goals-against average and .917 save percentage last season. He also went 2-2 with a 1.97 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage in the playoffs.
