Eagles preparing for RGIII, Redskins

The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Washington Redskins on Sunday in an NFC East showdown.

PHILADELPHIA -

The Philadelphia Eagles (5-5) will host division-rival Washington (3-6) on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. The Birds are searching for their third straight win and sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

Philadelphia knocked off the Redskins, 33-27, in the season-opener for both teams in September. It was the NFL's first look at Chip Kelly's offense, which light up the scoreboard in the first half.

However, both teams are much different this second time around. Philadelphia is playing more complete football, with signal caller Nick Foles leading the way on offense.

Washington, despite its record, is also playing better. Quarterback Robert Griffin III is back and healthy, prompting Eagles coach Chip Kelly to say that the Redskins are back to the playoff-caliber team they were last year.

With Dallas on its bye this week, a win would vault Philadelphia into sole possession of first place in the division.
