Boyertown girls have holes to fill this season

The lady Bears lost a talented senior class last season, but this year's team isn't afraid to step up.

BOYERTOWN -

The Boyertown girls basketball team has to replace all-time leading scorer Kaitlyn Eisenhard this season, a task they say will actually start on the defensive end.

The lady Bears are out to a 2-0 start thanks to a pair of wins at the Muhlenberg Tip-off Tournament. There are few programs that can match the success that Boyertown has had over the last five years.

In order for that success to continue, the Bears know they have to get better, especially on the defensive end.

The team thinks the scoring will come, but without a lot of size this year, they'll have to be active on defense and force turnovers. That will help them create a better transition offense this season.

Boyertown should figure into the PAC-10 Liberty Division race once again.
