The Saints enter the season with a very balanced attack that should keep the team near the top in Berks County.

The Berks Catholic girls basketball team made it to the county finals last season. The Saints certainly have the talent to get back there. Bob Birmingham's team is more balanced this year than in seasons past, making B.C. very dangerous.

With players like Katrina Balatgek, Devon Merritt, Brooke and Courtney Wensel back to lead the charge, the Saints are considered one of the teams that could challenge Wilson for a county title.

What makes Berks Catholic deadly this year is that they are capable of scoring from beyond the arc and in the paint. The threats come from more than just the aforementioned players as well. B.C. has some other good young talent this season.

The Saints feel like they can qualify for the state tournament, something the program has not done yet.
