Wilson's Gerald Terry and Northwestern's Sara Jones were named the Via high school basketball players of the year Wednesday night.
The announcement came at the annual Via banquet at the Sands Event Center.
Terry averaged close to 17 points per game for Wilson, and led the Warriors to one of their best seasons in school history.
Jones averaged 16 points and eight rebounds for the Tigers, who finished with the Colonial League's best record.
Both Terry and Jones hit the 1,000-career point mark this season.
Troy Hein served as the emcee of the event and basketball legend Bill Walton served as the guest speaker.
