The Wilson West Lawn field hockey team has put together a really nice season so far.
But, the Governor Mifflin field hockey team has had an even better fall, by one game.
That one game was a 1-0 win over the Bulldogs earlier this year. Another win Monday for Governor Mifflin over Wilson would mean a division title in their portion of Berks County with only one game to play in the regular season.
The Mustangs grabbed the early momentum behind a goal from Courtney Marley
But the Bulldogs scored three straight times. Brittany Smith had two goals and Madison Klee had the other. Hailey Cockrum assisted on all three goals.
Mifflin's Megan McKay added a goal late in the second half, but it wasn't enough as Wilson hung on for the 3-2 win. Both teams are now 8-1 in Berks I with just one game left in the regular season.
Twin Valley clinched a division title last week and was looking to stay in form at Berks Catholic Monday afternoon.
Kelee LePage tallied two first half goals for the Raiders.
The Saints managed just one goal in the second half off the stick of Katrina Balatgek.
Cianna Corbacio made ten saves in goal for BC, who hung in there and gave Twin Valley quite a test.
