There weren't too many teams in the state of Pennsylvania that had better regular seasons than the Oley Valley girls last year.
The Lynx dominated, going 25-3 overall, but the bulk of their success came in the regular season when they were perfect against Berks County teams. Tuesday night, Oley Valley (3-0) hoped to begin another similar run with a win over Fleetwood (2-1).
The Lynx got a free throw from Brandi Vallely with five seconds left in the game to give them a 44-43 win over the Tigers.
Vallely led all scorers with 17 points. Amanda Rizzuti pitched in 11.
Fleetwood's Maureen McGarry had 16 points, while Cyre Virgo had 12.
Two boys teams that used to be division rivals met Tuesday night at Twin Valley (1-2) where the Raiders hosted Daniel Boone (1-1).
Julian Gerhart paced the Blazers with 16 points as Daniel Boone ran away with it, 54-35.
Emmanuel Lacey was also in double figures for the Blazers with ten points.
