HS RUNDOWN: Late TD helps Wyomissing stay perfect

Alex Anzalone's one-yard touchdown run on 4th and goal with :28 left helped Wyomissing stay undefeated with a 37-33 win over Schuylkill Valley on Saturday.

After a thrilling, back-and-forth game, Anzalone dragged three tacklers into the end zone to provide the winning score.

Wyomissing improves to 9-0 on the season, and will host 9-0 Berks Catholic next Saturday for the Berks II title.  Schuylkill Valley drops to 6-3.



Wilson overcame a 28-point second half deficit to earn an exhilarating 40-34 overtime win over Saucon Valley at Smith Field.

Wilson fell behind 34-6 at the half before storming back in the second half.

The Warriors and Panthers are both 3-6 on the season.


Freedom beat city rival Bethlehem Catholic 35-7 at Frank Banko Field at BASD Stadium.

Five different plays scored for the Patriots, who improve to 4-5 on the season.

Becahi drops to 1-8.
