Exeter boys remain perfect; BC girls top Hamburg in Berks II showdown
In Reiffton, the Exeter boys pushed their record to 12-0 with a 62-56 victory over Wilson.
The Eagles held the upper hand for most of the game thanks to the play of Justin Trojanowski, Bryan Stinson and Kris Vaden.
Stinson had a monster game, racking up 20 points and ten rebounds in a double-double effort. Trojanowski and Vaden scored in double figures.
Travaun Coad and Bryan Fegley led the way for Wilson, scoring 17 and 13 respectively.
Exeter will look to continue the streak Thursday night at Muhlenberg. Wilson will host Governor Mifflin.
At Hamburg, the Berks Catholic girls (2-1, 8-4) took on Hamburg (2-1, 9-3) in a showdown of a pair of Berks II contenders.
The lady Saints controlled play from start to finish, rolling to a 63-29 victory over the lady Hawks.
Berks Catholic led by 16 at halftime and would really pull away in the second half thanks to a 16-0 run to start the third quarter.
BC's Katrina Balatgek led all scorers with 18 points. Brooke Wensel added ten for the lady Saints.
Tara Klee and Kassidy Lesher each scored seven points for a sluggish Hamburg offense.
Berks Catholic returns to action Wednesday night at Oley Valley. Hamburg will host Conrad Weiser Friday afternoon.
