Trial date set for man accused of killing Bucks Co. student

WHEELING, W.V. -

A Florida man is set to go to trial to face charges he killed a Bucks County man who was attending college in W.V.

Ohio County, W.V., officials said 22-year-old Craig Tyler Peacock was arraigned Thursday on a murder charge.

Peacock is accused of beating 21-year-old Kevin Figaniak of Perkasie during an argument Aug. 31, 2013 in Wheeling, W.V.

Figaniak was a student at Wheeling Jesuit University. He died of his injuries the next day.

Peacock, of Clewiston, Fla., and 24-year-old Jarrett Mathis Chandler of Winnfield, La., are suspects in the case.

Chandler is still awaiting his arraignment.

Peacock's trial has been set for April 29.

Both men remain in North Regional Jail in Wheeling on $1 million bail each.
