Oliver Stone to address The Hill School's class of 2013

Members of The Hill School's class of 2013 will hear from one of the school's most famous graduates when they accept their diplomas later this month.

Oliver Stone will address the school's 129 students at its 162nd commencement in Pottstown on May 25.

Stone, an Academy Award-winning film director, screenwriter and producer, graduated from The Hill School in 1964.


As a director, Stone’s film credits include "Nixon," "JFK," "Born on the Fourth of July," and "Platoon."

Stone earned three Academy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards for directing "Born on the Fourth of July" and "Platoon," and for writing "Midnight Express."

Stone will also be honored as The Hill School's 15th recipient of the Sixth Form Leadership Award during a private ceremony on May 24.
