Officials say a fire in Bucks County left a husband and wife dead.

MIDDLTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

The Bucks County Coroner has released the causes of death for the husband and wife who were killed in a house fire in Middletown Township.

The fire broke out Tuesday night at a home at 365 Elmwood Avenue.

Officials say Raymond Jenkins, 66, and his wife, Caroline Jenkins, 65, were killed.

Investigators say there were no working fire detectors in the home.

On Thursday, Bucks County Coroner Josephy Campbell announced that both victims died from smoke inhalation and thermal burns. The deaths were ruled accidental.

The fire marshal says the fire started in the basement but it could be a few more weeks until a final cause is determined.
