A computer glitch that caused delays and long lines for some American Airlines and United Airlines passengers at Philadelphia International Airport has been resolved.

The problem started early Wednesday morning in a computer system at a ticketing counter, said airport spokeswoman Victoria Lupica. It caused problems for several hours before the issue was resolved by 9 a.m.

The airlines didn't immediately say how many flights were affected. Lupica said flights on other airlines at the airport weren't affected and that service has returned to normal.
