Sisters arrested for selling oxycodone pills in Montgomery County
Two sisters are facing charges of selling narcotic pills in Bucks County.
An investigation that started over two years ago has finally led to the arrests of 34-year-old Darrina Slocum and her sister, 32-year-old Ebony Slocum, of the 100 block of Berwick Place in Towamencin Twp.
Police said Darrina was arrested Jan. 19 after officers executed a search warrant. Ebony, who wasn't home at the time of the search, was arrested Tuesday after turning herself in to Lansdale Police.
Police said the case began in late 2010 when Lansdale PD learned that Ebony was selling Percocet pills.
A day before police could search her W. Main street residence in March 2011, she moved to Norristown, police said.
In September of 2011, police received information that Ebony was selling oxycodone from her Norristown home, but she again moved during the investigation to an unknown location in the Lansdale area.
In November 2012, police learned the two sisters were selling the painkillers from the Berwick Place address.
During the Jan. 19 search, police found 21 oxycodone pills prescribed to Darrina, from a prescription for 80 pills.
Darrina Slocum was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and related charges. She was released on $10,000 bail.
Her preliminary hearing is set for March 14.
Ebony Slocum was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and related charges.
She was taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 bail.
She has a preliminary hearing on February 26.
