Montgomery County extends hours for free flu shots
Residents of Montgomery County will have additional opportunities to roll up their sleeves for a flu shot.
The county health department is increasing the hours free flu shots are available at its three health centers.
If possible, residents should get flu shots from their doctors, local pharmacies or the county centerse.
“There has been an increase in influenza activity in all regions of the state, including Montgomery County,” said Josh Shapiro, chair of the Montgomery County Commissioners.
“Because the flu does not typically peak until mid-January or February, now is the time to get vaccinated. It is not too late," he added.
