Police and the FBI are seeking the public’s help to identify the man who robbed a bank in Philadelphia.
The holdup happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Republic Bank at 1818 Market St.
The robber handed a teller a demand note that said he had a weapon, officials said. The robber then fled with cash, last seen heading east on Market Street.
The robber was described as a black man in his late 30s who stands between 5 feet, 11 inches and six feet tall with a slim build and a goatee. He may have a gap between his front teeth, officials said.
The robber was last seen wearing a brown coat with a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt underneath, dark-colored pants and shoes, sunglasses, and a black knit hat.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department.
There may be a reward for information leading to the robber’s capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
