Man sought in robbery of PNC Bank in Jenkintown

The Abington Township Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s help to the man who robbed a bank in Jenkintown, Montgomery Co.

The holdup happened around 11:35 a.m. on Feb. 16 at the PNC Bank at 123 Old York Rd.

The robber handed a teller a blue bag and a demand note that indicated he had a gun, officials said. 


The robber then fled the bank with cash, last seen on foot heading east on Lenox Road, toward Meetinghouse Road, officials said.

The robber was described as a brown-skinned man who stands approximately 6 feet tall with a husky build. He wore a mustard-brown work coat and maroon Phillies baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Abington Township Police Department at 267-536-1100.

There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
