A 22-year-old Trumbauersville man was arrested Friday evening for allegedly providing authorities with a false identity followed by an attempt to flee, according to state police.
Police said the incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. at Trum Tavern on West Broad Street. Police responded to the tavern for a report of missing money from one of the rooms there.
During the investigation, police said they made contact with Ashton Anthony Givens, who provided a false identity during questioning.
Police said it was discovered that Givens had active warrants in Delaware County. After being placed under arrest, Givens attempted to flee on foot while being placed into a patrol vehicle, police said.
After a shoot pursuit on foot, Givens was apprehended and transported to Bucks County Prison. Charges will be filed in district court.
