Sinkhole opens up in same area of Northampton Co.

It's the third sinkhole in Palmer Twp., Northampton Co., in a month, and one homeowner said her home is already showing signs of falling into the ground.
The hole is 20 feet wide and 15 feet deep. Crews have been working on the hole since it opened Monday afternoon.
One homeowner said it is causing her nightmares.
"I heard a loud noise, a truck going through and I heard this loud noise, like a bang," said Bonnie Cullen, a homeowner on Northwood Avenue, in Palmer Township. "I came out and I hear the macadam was breaking up and caving in."
Cullen said that was the start of a third sinkhole they've had to deal with here on Northwood Avenue.
The first one was due to a water line break.
"On April 4, there was an 16-inch transmission line that broke and opened up two sinkholes in the near vicinity on Northwood Avenue," added Roy White, executive director of the Easton Suburban Water Authority.
Crews filled those holes, and are not sure if the third sinkhole is connected.
"To be honest with you, it would be hard to determine one way or the other," added White.
"Am I going to fall through the cracks when I walk in my backyard or up my driveway? Who knows," said Cullen.
Bonnie Cullen said she feels the latest sinkhole is related.
She has cracks in the foundation of her home. Some are large enough to see daylight. Now, she fears the next sinkhole may swallow up her home.
"I've had nightmares about falling in that hole and what do I do," said Cullen.
The Cullen's are still living in their home. Their neighbors had to move because the house was deemed unsafe.
