LOWER NAZARETH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

A man and woman came up losers when they divvied up merchandise they intended to steal near lottery machines in a food store .

David M. Reeser and Brenda Lee Richner were stopped in the vestibule of the Giant at 859 Nazareth Pike, Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, as they tried to make off with $295.05 in stolen food items about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, officials said.

Reeser and Richner were seen by store security putting items in their shopping cart into reusable bags near the lottery machines in the Giant just before they tried to leave, officials said.
