The region has felt the wrath of yet another severe spring storm.

While not as intense as the hail that hammered Berks County last Thursday, the storm on Tuesday did topple several large trees throughout Reading and the surrounding suburbs.

Those trees, in turn, brought down power lines, like one 69 News found in the 400 block of Oley Street in the city. At least one car was reported to be damaged.

Traffic lights along Penn Avenue in Spring Township were also darkened by the storm during the Tuesday evening rush hour.

In Bern Township, downed lines brought the closure of Cross Keys Road at Main Street.

In Berks County, more than 2,300 Met-Ed customers and nearly 1,500 PPL customers were were without electricity at the height of the storm. Nearly 1,800 PPL customers also lost power in Lehigh County.

There have been no reports of injuries in the storm.
