An 88-year-old woman is the victim of a robbery which occurred Wednesday.
Police say at around 4 p.m. an all-white, U-haul-type box truck pulled into the victim's driveway on the 6300 block of Chapmans Road in Upper Macungie Twp.,Lehigh Co.
A man came to the door posing as a utility worker.
He told the victim he was there to check the water pressure in the house and look at the rear of the property near a right of way, police say.
The victim let the suspect into her home. The suspect ran the water for a few minutes and then went out to the rear of the property with the victim.
Police believe while the suspect distracted the victim, another person entered the residence and took property before leaving.
Shortly after, the victim realized cash was missing from her residence.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his mid 20s who is about 5'6". He is chubby, has brown hair and is clean-shaven.
The suspect was wearing a white and red sweatshirt, gray pants and white gloves.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Upper Macungie Township Police Department at 484-661-5911.
