BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. -

A man was booked into a jail cell after he returned to a motel room to pick up a piece of luggage he had left behind, officials said.

Rafael Boundurant was arrested Thursday afternoon after he entered a room at the Comfort Inn 3191 Highfield Drive, Bethlehem Twp., Northampton Co., looking for a black Stone Mountain canvas bag filled with drugs and drug paraphernalia, officials said.

Police were called to investigate after housekeeping informed the motel manager about a suspicious bag found late Thursday morning in a room Boundurant had been living in since Sunday, officials said.

Before Boundurant tried to retrieve the piece of luggage, police found inside it three clear plastic sandwich bags with "a substantial amount" of heroin; a cutting agent; a Magic Bullet grinder with heroin residue; small spoons; wax bags and rubber bands used to bundle heroin; a digital pocket scale; a black ink pad, and rubber stamps, including one marked TEAM # 1, officials said.

Police also searched the car Boundurant drove to the motel, a black 2000 Jaguar sedan registered to Justin Hanzi, but no other narcotics were found, officials said.

Boundurant, 25,  of 1204 Lewis St., Bethlehem, was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $30,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 11:30 a.m. Sept. 2.
