ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

The Lehigh Valley community will soon get the chance to weigh in on a controversial energy plant.

The Department of Environmental Protection is planning to hold a public meeting on an air quality permit application submitted by Delta Thermo Energy.

The company wants to build a waste-to-energy plant on Kline's Island in Allentown, but some members of the community have been pushing for tougher regulations on the plant.

Members of the public can go to Dieruff High School in Allentown on Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. to speak with DEP and Delta Thermo representatives.
