PHILADELPHIA -

The number of Pennsylvania utility customers without electricity is now down to about 1,000, with another major storm on the horizon.

PECO said Tuesday it was working to restore electricity to those without it. FirstEnergy said its Pennsylvania customers were all back online as of Sunday night, and PPL said it finished restoring power Saturday night.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Wednesday evening to late Thursday night for snow, sleet and freezing rain expected in Philadelphia and surrounding areas, with a general accumulation of six to 12 inches of snow and a trace of ice predicted.

The weather service said most of Pennsylvania received several more inches of snow Sunday.
