PORTER TWP., Pa. -

A Schuylkill County man has been arrested for allegedly driving over two people following a dispute.

State Police say 41-year-old Steve Lucas of Hegins was involved in a verbal argument with someone Friday night in the 2000 block of East Center Street in Porter Township.

The incident turned violent when Lucas assaulted three people who came to the defense of the person in the altercation with Lucas, according to police.

Police say Lucas then got into a car, spun the tires, and rammed two of the people, tossing them into the air.

Lucas tried to run over the same two people again, according to police.

Shortly after the incident, Lucas was arrested and transported to the Pottsville Hospital. Once medically cleared, he was arraigned on aggravated assault and other charges.

The condition of the two people who were run over is unknown.

Lucas is being held at Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 bail.
