WEST READING, Pa. -

A reported fight involving several people in West Reading subsequently led police to find marijuana and a stolen handgun.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Chestnut Street shortly after midnight Wednesday. They arrived to find several people who were involved in a reported fight, said police, whose investigation led them to search a home in the same block.

As a result of that search, police said they recovered a stolen handgun, marijuana and various items used to package and sell drugs.

Police said they learned later in the day Wednesday that one of the people involved in the original incident was in Reading's Oakbrook neighborhood. Responding officers located the officer, as well as another handgun and additional marijuana packaged for sale, police said.

Two men were charged with various firearms and narcotic offenses. Police identified the suspects as Warren Wentzel, 28, of West Reading, and Donald Householder Jr., 20, of Reading.
