Police are investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles in Tilden Twp., Berks Co.

Police are investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles in Tilden Twp., Berks Co.

The thefts happened overnight Tuesday into Wednesday on the First Street Extension, Oak Street, Merry Street, Dusty Lane, Berne Road and Rainbow Drive, police said.

The investigation has revealed there may be potential victims on those roads who have either not reported the thefts or are not aware of them, said Chief William J. McEllroy III, Tilden Twp. Police Dept.

Police are asking residents to check their vehicles and report any thefts they become aware of, however minor. The number to call is 610-655-4911.

Anyone with information about who may be responsible for the thefts is asked to call Crime Alert Berks County at 877-373-9913. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
